Staff Accountant



Our firm has an excellent opportunity for a qualified Staff Accountant. Professional staff members in this role will gain valuable experience in both attest and tax engagements serving a wide variety of clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of detail trial balances and adjusting journal entries for numerous businesses in a variety of industries
  • Take responsibility for monthly compilations of financial statement

  • Prepare reconciliations of balance sheet accounts

  • Prepare reconciliations of income statement accounts, such as payroll, payroll taxes, rents, professional fees, and taxes

  • Compilation and review of financial statement reports

  • Audits and reviews of internal controls

  • Assist with compliance of internal managerial policies, contracts, and agreements

  • Prepare state sales and use tax returns

  • Prepare federal excise tax returns

  • Prepare projections, forecasts, and budgets, as well as prepare analysis of variances

  • Ability to correspond with clients on various matters

  • Preparation of complex individual and business income tax returns, for corporations, partnerships, sole proprietors, trusts, and non-profit organizations

  • Prepare applications for extension of filing individual and corporate income tax returns

  • Research complex tax and accounting issues and then make clear and concise conclusions

  • Prepare projections of federal and state tax liabilities for businesses and individuals

  • Preparation of current and deferred tax provisions

  • Develop creative solutions to client problems and recommend individually tailored tax planning strategies

  • Take responsibility for all phases of an assignment including planning, compliance, and review


Skills/Qualifications:
  • Possess a Bachelorís degree in Accounting
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple priorities and simultaneous projects
  • Proven ability to work and focus in a fast-paced, results based, and quality service environment

Recruiter/HR Generalist


Our firm has an excellent job opportunity for an individual with a strong interest in recruiting and Human Resources. In this hands-on position, we are looking for an individual to work closely with the partners and Office Manager to carry out the recruiting strategies and perform various HR duties for the Firm and outsourced accounting clients on a professional level. The key part of this role is to recruit and maintain top talent for the Firm.

Responsibilities:
  • Recruiting and staffing logistics
  • Research and carry out the recruiting strategies of partners
  • Work directly with partners to create job descriptions, post job descriptions, determine requirements for the positions and the qualities of an ideal candidate
  • Recruit and access top talent by sourcing, interviewing and reference checking

  • Attend and coordinate career fairs and workshops

  • Coordinate and organize all aspects of recruiting process
  • Keep partners and Office Manager informed of updates and statuses
  • Employee orientation, onboarding, development, and training
  • Maintain up to date handbook, and policy development and documentation

Administrative Assistant



Our firm has excellent job opportunities for individuals with a strong interest in administrative work. In this hands-on position, we are looking for a detail oriented individual that is able to work directly with the office manager to meet the day to day operations of the firm as well as fulfill the administrative needs of the individual members of the management team. A key part of the position will also include the detailed processing of tax returns for clients, including corporate, individual, fiduciary, and partnerships. An ideal candidate will be able to seamlessly shift from basic tasks such as filing and office organization to more complicated assignments such as drafting client letters and preparing written reports when asked

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Management Team and provide them with the necessary administrative support when requested
  • Process tax returns to be sent to clients including copying, collating, and binding

  • Working closely with the office manager to fulfill the day to day operating needs of the firm and management

  • General administrative work:

Administrative Intern



Our firm has an excellent internship opportunity for a student seeking an entry point into a public accounting firm. The clerical support internship position provides students with an opportunity to gain knowledge of the fundamentals of the inner workings of an accounting firm. In this hands-on, entry-level position, one will have the opportunity to experience and contribute to the day-to-day administrative operations of a public accounting firm. Students will gain exposure to a variety of tasks and responsibilities that support the overall functions of the firm. Success in this role may lead to priority placement in a future tax/accounting internship.

General Responsibilities:
Assist office manager with tasks that support a variety of firm functions including: serving as receptionist, greeting clients and visitors, answering incoming calls, managing incoming and outgoing mail, daily restocking of office and kitchen supplies, monitoring supply inventories and placing orders, photocopying, updating client database, logging and distributing faxes, monitoring and collecting shredding, summarizing various reports, collecting and distributing weekly staff schedule, managing maintenance of office equipment, coordinating office maintenance efforts with facilities, preparing pre-made client files, preparing client mailings, updating word and excel documents, maintaining neat and organized office appearance, general filing, general photocopying, watering plants.

Skills/Requirements:
  • Minimum GPA of 3.4
